Where the money will go

Donations to the Memorial Fund will be distributed to a number of causes chosen by Centrica, in consultation with the bereaved families. These are likely to be a selection of local charities, emergency services funds and other initiatives.

A proportion of the monies raised will also be invested so that the Fund can continue to support the causes chosen for many years.
